Oregon Travel Magazine Recommended Places To Stay

Charleston Marina RV Park—Phone: 541-888-9512—This RV park also has yurts that you can rent if you do not have an RV. Not only can you walk over to the marina docks from your RV with your crab trap in hand to get your own tasty Dungeness crabs, (If you do not have a crab trap you can rent one at the Marina and many other places in town, along with the bait.) but you can then take your catch back to the RV Park and cook them up at their crab cook shack, where they supply the sinks, high speed cookers and the huge pots. (Believe us you will need HUGE pots to cook up these big boys!) Reasonably priced.

Fishermans Wharf-—Don't want to catch your own Dungeness crab? Then head over to the floating Fishermans Wharf at the Charleton, Oregon Marina, pick out a crab from their live tank and either take it back to the RV park and cook it at their crab shack, or have it cooked for you while you wait—you can eat it there also while you watch the dock action, although the sea lions may beg for a bite. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Reasonably priced.

Sea Basket Sea Food Resturant—Charleston, Oregon Marina—This place has the best "to die for" fish and chips we have ever tasted! They are very lightly battered and are made from FRESH Red Snapper that they buy direct from the Charleston Marina fishermen. It is located at the marina...just follow your nose. Reasonably priced.
